Studio Policies

All students are required to have BLACK tap shoes, jazz oxfords, and jazz sneakers. Girls are required to have PINK ballet shoes, boys BLACK. All ballet shoes must be leather—intermediate and higher level classes need split-sole ballet shoes and oxford tap shoes. Cushioned, sateen slippers are not acceptable ballet shoes for class.

Girls are required to have BLACK leotards and PINK tights for ballet classes—BLACK skirts are optional. BLACK jazz pants and T-shirts are allowed for jazz, tap and hip hop classes. Boys must wear BLACK T-shirts and shorts or sweatpants for all classes (see Dress Code Policy for more information).

Absolutely NO JEANS, CORDUOROYS, KHAKIS, JACKETS, or other street clothes are permitted. Students wearing these to class will be asked not to participate.

Hair must be secured neatly away from the face. Beads and barrettes should be kept to a minimum to avoid injury. No head wraps, scarves, or rollers are allowed in class.

No dangling earrings, bracelets, or necklaces are allowed in class.

Recital Information

All students enrolled in classes during the regular dance season are assumed to participate in the recital. Annual recitals are performed at the end of the dance season, tentatively the first or second Saturday in June. Those students who are on the semester or year payment schedule will receive a 15-20% discount on their recital costume.

Tuition And Other Fees

The TDS dance season extends from September to June. We have ongoing registration until February 1^st. After this date, any interested parties can enroll for summer classes, which begin in June.

Tuition can be set up under three payment methods—quarter, semester, and year. Tuition and other fees are as follows:

²Anyone registered for one class per week can take any additional class at a discount. (All prices subject to change without notice.)

Financial terms

• All required dancewear can be purchased through TDS. All dancewear payments must be paid in full before an order will be placed.
• A $8.00 late fee will be assessed each month for any balances over 30 days.
• A $25.00 fee will be charged on all NSF checks.

Refund Policies

• Make up classes will only be provided if classes are cancelled by TDS. The day and time will be designated by TDS. TDS reserves the right to cancel classes up to 3 times without make-up classes due to inclement weather.
• No financial adjustments or make up classes will be given for absenteeism.
• Should you decide to remove your child/children from class prior to the end of the term, TDS reserves the right to charge two months of classes in the event that you fail to give reasonable warning.
